Before You Book

Transient slip reservations

How to reserve

All transient reservations must be requested online at Dockwa.com or in the Dockwa mobile app. Please note: marina office staff cannot make reservations for you.

Maximum length of stay

• The maximum continuous stay is 14 days.
• After departing for 14 days, you may book another 14-day stay.
• You may also add your name to our short-term waitlist for an additional consecutive 14-day period. We'll notify you if a slip becomes available before your departure date.

Deposit

• A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
• The remaining 50% balance is charged automatically to the credit card on file on your scheduled day of arrival.

Other

• A utilities fee of $3.00 per night is automatically added to each confirmed reservation.
• Current sold-out dates: July 2–12 and Aug 12–16. No more reservations will be waitlisted for those dates.

Arrival & departure

• Check-in: after 1:00 pm for all vessels.
• Check-out: 11:00 am on the day of departure.
• Late check-outs: require prior Harbormaster approval.

Reservations are held until 5:00 pm on the scheduled arrival date. If you're arriving after 5:00 pm, you must contact the Harbormaster to notify staff of your late arrival. If you're late and fail to call, the reservation will be cancelled as a no-show, you'll be charged the remaining balance due, and your slip will be re-rented and unavailable for your use. If you expect to arrive after office hours, please message us through Dockwa or call the Marina Office at (231) 946-5463 before arrival to receive your Captain's Lounge access code. Otherwise, please stop by the Marina Office upon arrival.

Cancellation policy

• 14 or more days before arrival (prior to 1:00 pm): full refund of deposit, minus a $25 cancellation fee.
• 3–13 days before arrival (prior to 1:00 pm): 50% of the deposit is refunded.
• Less than 3 days before arrival (after 1:00 pm): no refund issued.

All approved refunds are credited back to the card used at booking. Refund processing typically takes 3–7 business days depending on your card issuer.

Vessel length requirements (LOA)

Please ensure you correctly enter your vessel's overall length (LOA) in the Boats section of your Dockwa profile. Length overall must include:

• bow pulpits
• swim platforms
• davits
• any other protruding equipment

If your vessel does not fit within the assigned slip, you will be denied slip accommodations and the full slip fee will be forfeited. Please verify your accurate LOA before booking. Thank you!
